Two processes, two products
Cast grit — the product of most large suppliers — is made by melting, followed by thermal treatment. Conditioning starts from 100% recycled steel wire and removes the thermal treatment step entirely.
The result is a premium product with a different cost structure, different pricing dynamics and a different competitor set. The two categories must not be conflated: the only comparable conditioned producer in Europe is KrampeHarex (Germany, Peenox line) — with no SE European presence. Winoa, Ervin Industries and Vulkan Inox are cast-steel producers and are not directly comparable on the process dimension.
The conditioning process is the subject of a Romanian national patent application (a 2025 00362), jointly owned by both founders, in active OSIM prosecution; an EPO filing is planned. The process is legally distinct from every cast-grit competitor.
